Thrifty Vintage Decorating: Top of the Kitchen Cabinets
I have vaulted ceilings in my kitchen, which means that there is a significant amount of space above the cabinets. Which obviously begs for a large display of some sort.
You know that I love vintage things. And kitsch. So, behold- my kitchen cabinet top!!
I think I paid a grand total of $7 for all of the suitcases. The fork and spoon on the left were part of a bag sale deal (less than .50) a couple of years ago. The fork and spoon on the right were less than $10. The brown globe was a gift to me when I was a child. The other large globes were a bit more expensive, but $25 or less.
Who says decorating has to be boring?
